The first Peter Lane & Partners office was opened in 1991 by Peter & Denise Lane
in the market town of Huntingdon in Cambridgeshire. The following years proved
very successful for the company, resulting in the opening of two further offices,
The Mayfair Office and a new franchising division.
Gavin Childs-Brown and Stuart Meriton, both very successful Peter Lane & Partners
office managers, decided to take advantage of the franchise opportunity and after
securing premises in a prime location in St.Neots, Cambridgeshire, launched their
own business under the Peter Lane & Partners brand.
The success of the brand is due to the innovative marketing strategy the company
has always believed in. In their strive to be one step ahead of the competition
they were the "first" local agent to have their own web site, and the first to
have an office in Mayfair, London.
The company has a strong "Town & Country Homes" image with a dedicated brand for

is captured by the company regularly attending two property exhibitions a year
in London, the only local agent to actually have their own stand, and the office

such as Country Life, Horse & Hound and The Sunday Times.
