Visit the City of Peterborough and you will discover a tantalising mix of old and new. Stately homes, magnificent cathedral, superb shopping, tasty food and the great outdoors.

The modern-day city hides a wealth of history. Flag Fen is where archaeologists found the oldest wheel in Britain and the cathedral hosts the largest surviving example of a painted wooden ceiling from the Middle Ages. The museum is the city’s most haunted building, you can join a ghost tour if you dare! The Nene Valley Railway transports you back to a bygone age.

The city offers a great nightlife with national & international events and also hosts the UK’s biggest undercover beer festival.

Peterborough is in the UK’s top ten per cent of retail destinations with a modern indoor shopping mall, arcades of traditional shops and a permanent undercover market as well as special continental markets throughout the year.

Acres of green open spaces makes Peterborough ideal for canoeing, windsurfing, sailing, walking and riding.

For the commuter the main line railway station provides travel to London in 45 minutes and the A1(M) is close by, as is the A14.
